Horrible Bosses is far from a horrible movie

How can you not want to see a movie starring Jason Batemen, Jason Sudekis and (my favourite) Charlie Day?

Thanks to Warner Bros. Pictures Canada I was able to attend a screening of Horrible Bosses on Wednesday night. I’ve been waiting to see this movie for a couple months now so I had big expectations and I’m happy to say it blew right past them. In fact, it passed Bridesmaids as the funniest comedy of the year, so far – yeah, that good.

So the premise of the movie is 3 guys (Bateman, Sudekis, Day) aren’t happy with their bosses, so they half-jokingly talk of killing them. After Dale (Day) gets sexually harassed one-too many times by his boss (Jennifer Aniston – I know, right?) he’s pushed to the edge and goes back to the guys to start putting the plan in motion. They meet up with Jamie Foxx who, due to parole reasons, consults them on how to kill their bosses, instead of actually doing it for them. After that, as can be expected, they then hilariously attempt to take each one out.

The beginning of the movie had a few laughs, but once the murder plotting got underway it quickly escalated to ridiculously funny levels. There were multiple times where I missed lines because I was too busy laughing and holding back tears; for a movie to do that makes it a special one.

I have to say you won’t be disappointed with the performance of Charlie Day, of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia fame (watch it! This is my plug for the show). I think he was due for a lead role like this and I have no doubt he’ll be in many more movies in the future.

Also, Jennifer Aniston won’t ruin this movie with her traditional bad luck at the box office; And, 42 or not, she looked amazing. That is all.

I give Horrible Bosses a 5/5.

If you have been living under a rock and haven’t seen the trailer, check it out here, then go see the movie!

Whoa, whoa let’s not get crazy now. This was good, but Bridesmaids was hilarious times infinity! ;0)

      Thanks for the comment Naddy!

I gave them both a 5/5 so let’s just state for the record that I found Bridesmaids to be hilarious too 🙂 Horrible Bosses just made me laugh to the point of tears, so I couldn’t discount that! I also saw it twice, which I don’t do very often.
